S1E6: In This Recession, Are Fresh Grads Doomed?

Fresh Grads, All’s Not Lost! The recession has brought along with it a high unemployment rate and increasing retrenchments across industries. If you’re a fresh graduate, you’ll likely be chewing your nails over whether: 1) You’ll get a good enough salary, or if you have to settle for less 2) Or if you’ll even get a job in the first place! In this episode, we look at a study done on the fresh graduates in the time of the 2008 crisis and look for answers as to what can be done if jobs aren’t coming along just yet. Our hosts share some of their own job switching experiences, along with the story of a Singaporean who graduated in 2008, and try to give you some answers – or reassurance. If you like what you hear, remember to leave a review and follow us on Spotify, Google Podcasts, or Apple Podcasts (or all of them!).
